Hill Memorial Scholarship: A scholarship for a first year metro student, established in memory of John Hill, a young artist and athlete, designated for a visual art student possessing outstanding potential. Hometown Sportswear Scholarship: Established for upperclassmen Graphic Design students, renewable for up to a total of 8 semester if full-time status and GPA 2.5 are maintained.Ĭharles & Marilyn Davidson Scholarship: Established to honor Charles & Marilyn Davidson, this scholarship is awarded to full-time majors in the School of Art & Design with good academic standing with first preference to juniors and seniors. Garth Brown Scholarship: Established in memory of former Marshall student Garth Brown, this scholarship is awarded to a student demonstrating artistic talent and commitment to the study of visual art. Student ScholarshipsĪrt & Design Scholarship: Annual awards to art students who exhibit excellent portfolios and academic achievement. School of Art & Design awards three scholarships (partial-tuition waivers) to seniors with the strongest portfolios who have an active FAFSA and are planning to attend Marshall University for a BFA, BA in Art, or BA in Art Education degree. The High School Portfolio Review takes place in the fall semester with awards being announced in the winter or early spring. High School Portfolio Review: High school seniors with art portfolios are eligible to apply to this online portfolio submission.
